
INTRODUCTION:
Malta is an island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, to the south of Italy and to the right of Spain.
WHY IN MALTA SPEAK ENGLISH?
The official lenguage of Malta is Maltés but they also speak English, since Malta was under British control as a colony since 1800 when French Forces surrended. Several years later, in 1964 Malta became independent but the British remained in Malta controlling ports and airports.
CUISINE OF MALTA:
Since Malta was governed by Spain, its cuisine has inherited a distinctive flavour which makes it different from other Mediterranean cuisines. Some typical dishes of Malta are ftica biz-zeijt, gbejniet pastizzi and Rossie-forn.
SPORTS OF MALTA:
In 1990 oraganized sports lived a new era when they built a National Stadium, as running track and a basketball court.
In 1993 and in 2003 Malta organized The small European states Olimpic Games.
