Australia officially the Common Wealth of Australia is a country in the southern hemisphere comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and numerous smaller islands in the Indian and Pacific oceans. It limits with a lot of countries: Indonesia, East Timor, and Papua New Guinea to the north, the Solomon islands, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia to the northeast, and New Zealand to the southeast.
Australia is a prosperous developed country with a multicultural society. It is a member of the United Nations, G20, Commonwealth of Nations, OECD, APEC, Pacific Islands Forum and the World Trade Organization.
The most iconic animals in Australia are the Kangaroos. There are over 60 species of kangaroos. They live in all areas of Australia, from cold-climate areas and desert plains, to tropical rainforests and beaches. Kangaroos are herbivorous, eating a range of plants and, in some cases , fungi. Most are nocturnal but some are active in the early morning and late afternoon. Different kangaroo species live in a variety of habitats. All of them have powerful back legs with long feet.
Australia is a very good place to live.
